Here it is powered up: Silicone bulb covers color the light orange and
make the amp look like it is floating above the table. And it sounds as
good as it looks! Two 6BQ5 tubes per channel produce about 18 Watts, enough to rattle
the windows at higher volume. I usually stream my Spotify playlists from my phone through
a Bluetooth receiver, although any stereo audio source can be connected. A CD player sounds
even better. The amp is currently connected to a pair of Klipsch bookshelf speakers.
Apart from the physical modifications, some tweaks to the circuits were made to improve the sound.
